Waldemaine Adele
prefix Waldemaine · Maine Coon · DBE-RE · line: Rociri Elvis · both eyes blue · Genotyped · also in its ancestry: Pillowtalk-Foreigner
Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 164p. The variant is attributed to this animal from the record rather than from a result on it. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.

That is 5 recorded parent links, and the animal at the end of it carries a variant this survey has adopted, but has not itself been tested. Every step is a parent recorded in this register from a document; none of them is an assumption. The full genealogy is drawn below, and the sources for each animal are on its own page.

FLETCHERFIELD'S BLAUER KLAUS. Identity. TWO SHEETS, ONE CODE, ONE DATE, ONE PAIR OF PARENTS. Fletcherfield's Jack the Ripper and Fletcherfield's Blauer Klaus are both MCO n 09 22 68, both born 24 February 2020, and both out of Gonsior Line Allure by Joyfield's Lenny Kravitz. The sheets differ only in the country field, DE slash nothing against DE slash DE. EITHER ONE CAT CARRIES TWO NAMES OR THEY ARE LITTERMATES, and the survey does not choose: a prefix is gained on entering a programme and dropped on leaving it, and neither sheet carries a registration number that would separate them
WALDEMAINE ADELE. Morphology. WIDE-SET EYES HAVE BEEN OBSERVED IN THIS CAT FROM THE PUBLISHED PHOTOGRAPHS, and the same has been observed elsewhere in the Rociri Elvis line. A wide inner canthal distance, dystopia canthorum, is a diagnostic feature of Waardenburg syndrome type 1 in man, and PAX3 IS THE GENE OF TYPES 1 AND 3. The absence of that same sign is what places a human case in type 2, which is an MITF, SNAI2 or SOX10 type. So the feature belongs to the gene this survey is about and to no other Waardenburg gene. THE SURVEY STILL DOES NOT ADOPT THE OBSERVATION. Dystopia canthorum is defined by a measured index and not by appearance, photographs at this age and coat length cannot be measured, extensive white on the face alters where the eyes appear to sit, and no facial measurement has been taken on any cat in this register. WHAT WOULD SETTLE IT: inner canthal, interpupillary and outer canthal distances measured on a series of blue-eyed and non-blue littermates of one line, against the same measurements on unrelated cats of the breed
WALDEMAINE ADELE. Line. A SECOND VARIANT REACHING THIS CAT THROUGH THE PILLOWTALK CATS WAS PROPOSED AND HER OWN PEDIGREE DOES NOT SUPPORT IT. Four complete generations, twenty-nine unique ancestors of thirty possible, hold no Pillowtalk cat, no CoolMotion cat, no Rushcutter Brave Heart and no Love Hulen cat. Every eye code on the sheet is a 68 and all four sit on the sire's side, in Fletcherfield's Blauer Klaus, Waldemaine Ratatouille, Joyfield's Lenny Kravitz and Joyfield's Dolly, which is the Rociri Elvis descent. THE FIFTEEN ANCESTORS ON THE DAM'S SIDE CARRY NO EYE CODE AT ALL. On the evidence held this cat carries one variant and not two
A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
