HE IS NOT THE ALTAI GENE MALE HIMSELF: the charts draw a starred, unnamed animal above him, described as 'BSH x Altai registered as BSH?', and that animal is not entered here because no document names it. TWO COAT READINGS STAND ON HIM, BSH a from the chart crops and BSH n 02 61 from the registry pedigree, and neither is discarded; his son Amur Dream is BRI n 01, which is consistent with the second. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes and is not dominant white and not colourpointed, but its white code is van or harlequin. VERY HIGH WHITE CAN PRODUCE BILATERAL BLUE ON ITS OWN, which a traditional bicolour cannot, so the coat is NOT excluded here and this cat is not counted in the diagnostic. The distinction matters most at the founders: it is where this register would otherwise overclaim.

ALESTA AZURE DREAM hung on one copy and CHILLY AQUAMARINE AZURE DREAM on another, AND BOTH ARE OUT OF IGOR AZURE DREAM. THE TWO ARE FULL SISTERS OUT OF ONE MATING AND THE REGISTER COULD NOT SEE IT. Alesta is BSH a 09 with NO EYE CODE and is the dam of KOOPER SUPERQUEEN, 68. Chilly Aquamarine is BRI e 03 61, CODED, with three recorded offspring running on through the Azure Dream prefix. THE SUPERQUEEN 68 AND THE AZURE DREAM 61 SIT ON TWO FULL SISTERS OUT OF IGOR AZURE DREAM BY ONYX MAGIC SMILE | AND WHAT THAT MEANS FOR THE UNCODED SISTER. Alesta carries no eye code at all and her son is 68. Her full sister is coded 61 and 03, a bicolour, so the coat rule sets the sister aside as evidence. ALESTA HERSELF IS 09, WHICH IS ALSO THE EXCLUDED TIER. NEITHER SISTER CAN BE USED TO SHOW ANYTHING, AND BETWEEN THEM THEY STAND ABOVE A 68 AND A 61 | HOW THE MERGE WAS DONE. At the time he was registered no dominant blue eye breed existed to register him under, and the Altai was not a recognised breed, so the registry used the only blue-eyed category it had. THE REGISTRATION IS A REGISTRY ARTEFACT AND NOT AN ATTRIBUTION: he is not an Ojos Azules cat and he does not carry DBE^ALT. This register holds no variant and no claimed variant against him, and none is to be inferred from the breed printed on his pedigree.
