Iberis Ranetka

prefix Iberis · Munchkin · line: Karagaisky · both eyes blue · Variant not known

Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 161 x4p. A carrier of a variant nobody has sequenced, on a line this proposal gives a suffix to. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.

How this cat is connected to the trait

  1. Iberis Ranetka, MNS g 09 61 97
  2. Iberis Que Hey Sky, MNL a 09 61, the parent of Iberis Ranetka. a founder of this survey; no variant has ever been identified in this line

That is one recorded parent link, and the animal at the end of it has never been tested, so the connection is a descent and not a result. Every step is a parent recorded in this register from a document; none of them is an assumption. The full genealogy is drawn below, and the sources for each animal are on its own page.

What is flagged on this tree

  1. KROSH. Eye and coat, HELD APART FROM THE DIAGNOSTIC. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes and is not dominant white and not colourpointed, but its white code is van or harlequin. VERY HIGH WHITE CAN PRODUCE BILATERAL BLUE ON ITS OWN, which a traditional bicolour cannot, so the coat is NOT excluded here and this cat is not counted in the diagnostic. The distinction matters most at the founders: it is where this register would otherwise overclaim.
  2. IBERIS QUE HEY SKY. Eye and coat, A DETERMINATION AND NOT A QUERY. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes, carries a bicolour or locket white code, is not dominant white and is not colourpointed. THE CLASSIC WHITE SPOTTING GENE COVERS AN EYE WHERE THE WHITE HAPPENS TO FALL, WHICH GIVES AN ODD EYE AND NOT TWO BLUE ONES, so the coat does not account for this and a dominant blue eye is present in the line. IT IS NOT THE KIT ODD-EYE CASE. Its registry has entered no dominant eye code on it. WHICH VARIANT IS NOT DEDUCIBLE FROM A COAT CODE and none is adopted.
  3. IBERIS RANETKA.

A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

PawPeds pedigree P20 READ IN FULL, 15 August 2026: Iberis Bushi Mononoke, F, MNL f 09 61, 25 November 2019, RU to FR, inbreeding 3.91 per cent, twenty-four ancestors of thirty possible, twenty unique, two complete generations of four. THE BLUE EYE DESCENDS ON THE DAM'S SIDE FROM A FOUNDATION DOMESTIC: Kotia, DOM n 02 21 61, whose four ancestor positions all read Foundation, to IC Iberis A-Euro Lire, MNL g 02 61 97, to Bushi Mononoke, MNL f 09 61. A second 61 stands in the same pedigree on Iberis Ranetka, MNS g 09 61 97, out of Iberis Hit Orange by GIC Iberis Que Hey Sky, and the sire Animeowl's Darlingsky Iberis, MNL n 09 63, 7 May 2018, is odd-eyed. EVERY CAT IN THIS PEDIGREE CARRYING 61 OR 63 ALSO CARRIES WHITE SPOTTING, 02 or 09, so the KIT route is available at every step and none of these eye codes can be attributed to PAX3 on the pedigree alone. FOUR ORDINARY CAUSES OF A BLUE EYE STAND IN THESE FOUR GENERATIONS: colourpoint at TYR on Animeowl's Pearl, MNL d 33, and on Iberis Kliukva, MNS f 33 98, who appears twice; a white cat, Iberis Yaromir, MNS w S; white spotting on all four coded cats; and two foundation domestics with no recorded ancestry at all, Kotia and Krosh, XSH a 02. The remaining ancestry is Iberis Sky Life MNS g 09; Iberis Hit Orange MNS d 03 86 NS; GIC Iberis Que Hey Sky MNL a 09 S; GIC Iberis Amanita MNL g 09; GIC Shining Shambala Gromozeka MNL n 32 03 98, 5 September 2012, who appears twice; Animeowl's Busharic MNL f 32, 5 July 2014; Diamond Toy Elastic MNS e 09 33 NS, 22 January 2011; CH Diamond Toy Chinese Jade MNL n 32 09, 3 August 2010; Windrunner Giulietta Fullofsurprise MNL f 09 23 86 LL, 5 November 2011, US to RU; Mountaineer Rich Iberis MNL e 09 98, 26 August 2011; Mountaineer Fritz MNL a 03; and Lil Eyvan of Mountaineer DOM d 22 09, 8 October 2009. THE CERTIFICATE HOLDS TWO GENERATIONS THE DATABASE DOES NOT: certificate P4 names Kotia's sire Semyon and his dam Musya, both coded 61, where PawPeds enters all four of Kotia's ancestor positions as Foundation

This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
