The description held

black spotted tabby on the registered code XXH n 24 68; 'Roxy's pedigree is a mystery'. BLACK SPOTTED TABBY ON THE REGISTERED CODE: XXH n 24 68 gives n, black, 24, spotted tabby, and 68 for the dominant blue eyes. There is no golden modifier, which would be written y as in ny, and NO WHITE CODE AT ALL: no 01, 02, 03 or 09. THE TWO SOURCES DO NOT AGREE ON WHITE AND THE SURVEY DOES NOT SETTLE IT. messybeast.com gives him white hind feet and white throat. WHITE HIND FEET ARE WHITE SPOTTING AND THE GOLDEN GROUND DOES NOT EXPLAIN THEM, so either the code omits a white marker or the description is wrong. THE KIT ROUTE THEREFORE REMAINS AVAILABLE as an ordinary explanation of his own blue eyes, and no route is closed off on him. ROKSI IS NOT SILVER AND SEIMUR IS, WHICH SEPARATES THEM AT A LOCUS. Roksi is XXH n 24 68 and Marta EUR n 03 62; neither code carries s, the silver marker. Silver is dominant, so neither parent has an I to pass, and TWO NON-SILVER PARENTS CANNOT PRODUCE THE SILVER KITTEN Seimur is, XSH ns 03 23 68. The coats therefore rule out that parentage independently of how any chart is drawn, and they corroborate C6, which gives Seimur out of Pushok by Eliza.. THE WINDOW 2007 TO 2013 BELONGS TO THE SIRE OF LAZULI AND NOT NECESSARILY TO THIS NAME. Lazuli was born 2 April 2015, so on a breeding life of eighteen months to eight years his sire was born between 2007 and 2013. A cat placed among the Darlin cattery's early animals in 1997 would have been eighteen at that conception. A CAT ALREADY BREEDING AT THAT CATTERY IN 1997 CANNOT BE THE SIRE OF A KITTEN BORN IN APRIL 2015, so one of exactly two things is true: either there are two cats carrying the name, or the 1997 date is incorrect.
